The underground accountancy exhibition you should know about

AAT members are speaking at DAS, the one-stop shop for digital solutions.

On 15 June, 2,000 of your peers will descend upon the Digital Accountancy Show (DAS) for one day only, to discover the latest tech developments driving accountancy and bookkeeping.

Over 90 speakers will cover topics ranging from how to use AI and bots to addressing digitalisation challenges and scaling up. It’s the place to go to find out where the industry is headed, and how to make use of the latest technological advances.

Bridging the digital skills gap

There’s an increasing, even exponential, demand for accountants to be digitally savvy. From the growth of AI to governmental initiatives such as Making Tax Digital, the digitisation trend is never going to reverse.

The exhibition is a great place to plug the digital skills gap. You can see what’s out there, get inspired and find creative solutions with what’s available to you.

Why you should attend

With educational talks that demystify areas like cryptocurrency, DAS is a great place to get comfortable with complex ideas or to find out what’s happening before it hits the mainstream. Whether you’re so far ahead you want to be driving the bandwagon, or you’re keen for more clarity before you hitch a ride, the conference has you covered.

DAS is targeted at accountants and bookkeepers who work in practice, so getting down there is a great way to meet people who understand your pain points. They, or exhibitors, can help you find digital solutions to your burning problems.

So why haven’t you heard of it?

Well, the show’s only in its third year, but it’s rapidly losing its status as the industry’s best-kept secret. Think of it this way: if Accountex is Wall Street, DAS is Silicon Valley.

Who’s going

It’s also a great place to meet people: more than 130 exhibitors (including us!) want to bend your ear, and there’s a networking event.

AAT members are participating in some panels too. Lucy Cohen FMAAT will discuss key growth metrics for cloud native firms; Dean Shepherd CTA FMAAT will explore client communication strategies; and Rachel Harris MAAT will discuss how to recruit and retain top-performing accountants.

We’d love to see you there too. At DAS you can find out about our expanded CPD programme, which features more titles in varied formats so we can be there for accounting professionals at all stages of their careers. Come and talk to us about our new shop front! While you’re at it, you can also nab some free swag.
