AAT research: The Value of Apprentices

aat comment

AAT’s The Value of Apprentices research, which was released today, shows that apprentices delivered around £1.8 billion of net economic benefits to UK organisations last year. Check out our infographic below for more of the findings.

Jan Hodges, CEO, Edge Foundation commented on the report:

‘AAT’s excellent new report underlines the clear economic benefits of employing apprentices. Their economic analysis shows that apprenticeships benefit individuals and employers alike, right across the economy.

‘Government figures show that there is huge demand for places – in some sectors, there are 27 applications for every apprenticeship advertised online. It’s therefore worrying that 60% of small businesses surveyed for the AAT lack basic knowledge of apprenticeships. We have to continue to spread the good news not just in Apprenticeships Week, but all year round.’
