What is this short survey about?

In March the government announced a long-awaited consultation into raising standards in the tax advice market.

Some tax advisers do not hold qualifications or are not members of a professional body.

HMRC has identified concerning levels of poor-quality advice in the market. It is asking for views on three different options for regulating the tax advice market.

AAT is seeking your thoughts and experiences to feed into our comprehensive response to the government’s consultation. Your voice can strengthen the campaign to make all tax practitioners accountable and help ensure the introduction of much-needed protections for consumers.

All participants who voluntarily provide their contact details will receive updates on the progress of this campaign, including being provided with our final, official submission.

How long have I got?

Not much time! Only open for a few days, this survey will shut off 18 May 2024, however there are only a few questions to complete.
